rupeshhari,

I agree with most of your comments.

About your saying:

So to say that they don't give a damn about my university would be hard to believe.

You can not be sure until you be there, and I wish you all the best in that.

If you are good in networking, or you think that the supply and demans depends on the 'brand name' universities, then I say again, seeing is beleiving.

All in all, please read my post regarding the accuasion of Mr Leon with respect to looking down to people. It seems that I am talking a Japanese langauge here, and no one is really understand what I was trying to say.

All the best my friend, I wish you all the sucess, you and every immigrant.

You have the very right reason to be here. It is me who should not spend alot of time here anymore. Sure, it is me who should concentrate in his studies instead of this dead-end argument.

All the best my friend, it was pleasure talking to you, and sorry for any offense caused.

Please take care.

no offense at all. I am decision theorist at the end of the day. I am always intrigued by how people make decisions when faced with non-dominating choices.

Japanese language - I never did say that you looked down on people. Please read my comment, it was address specifically to Leon, telling him of my experience. Thats why i didn't address that paragraph in general.

True what you say, seeing is believing and having met head of departments, i can believe that demand for me is higher than a lot of other people that is described here (at least).

Good luck bud. All the best in UK and your US endeavors. US is a grand choice. I could be wrong but unless you publish a lot of papers, the US route to citizenship can be long too. Do publish a lot and in top-tier journals, because there is a whole class greencard just for those people.

Adios, if I am not here on the forum, i am gone swimming lol.

I was addressing this to Leon, who is enjoying accusing me of things I never said. He thought I disrespect blue collar jobs and look down at them. From where he came up with this, only GOD knows.

There could be a chance to be a lecturer here in the UK in the Occupational Health and Safety, or to work as a safety professional. I will try to work my way up here, with GOD help.

All the best my friend. Enjoy swimming!

I came up with it judging from what you say about us.

Here you are implying that working as a plumber or a bus driver is somewhat a lesser job and something that Canadians don't want to do:

Raindrop73 said:
I will let you think, yourself, what kind of jobs Canadians don;t want to do. Or you can ask BCguy, he has agood examples of his immigrants friends who work as plumbers, bus drivers in the best.
Again, later you say:

When I talked about plumbers and bus drivers , I meant a very SIMPLE and CLEAR thing. It is about the unfairness for some professional who had to LEAVE their profession, the one that they already spent most of their lives in, the one that they spent many years of study on it, and had to work in jobs suits only HIGHE SCHOOL DROP OUT'S.
So being a plumber or a bus driver is only fit for a high school drop out? Really? I am not a high school drop out thank you very much. I am a physicist, only I chose to do blue collar work because it makes me happy. A lot of the blue collar workers I know also have degrees and choose to do this work. You do not need to feel sorry for us. Really.

ohhh

So you think these kinds of jobs, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO MY FRIENDS WHO IS WORKING IN THEM, are the jobs one should NORMALLY expect to do for people who used to be a university professors! Only in Canada you can Find this logic.

A lot of the blue collar workers I know also have degrees and choose to do this work. You do not need to feel sorry for us. Really.[/b]

Choose to do this work!!!!

I dont understand what do you mean by 'choose'

Has any doctor or physicist , like you, come to Canada, and willingfuly, choose to leave his profession from the first day and go to these kind of jobs.

I say it again'

Do you choose to leave your physicist work willingfuly, or because:

You COULD NOT find a job in your profession!
NO ONE ACCEPTED TO HIRE YOU AS A PHYSICIST, or there are other reasons.

Be honest!

If you are claiming that people with university degrees choose , WILLINGFULY,to leave their own profession and work as bus drivers, then, excuse me, I dont beleive you.

BCguy,

Thank you for your concern. I rather go on with my PhD here in the UK. Once I graduate, then I will consider my options again.

I knew for sure that my area of expertise is in high demand worldwide as work accidents and loss pervention is a global concern. The only thing which make things hard in Canada is that they ask for ' Canadian experience' which keep the talented people outside the door.

Anyway, thanks for your concern. As I mentioned before, I haven nothing whatsoever against Canada as a nation, but I dont like the system there, That is it.

I will withdraw my PR application now, and if things go well, I may consider moving there if the system improves.

Who knows !!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I am so suprised after reading all your arguements. For the Love of God, why should there be an arguement over someone withdrawing an application ? I don't get it.

Also, didn't some of us on this forum talk about Self Pride ? If someone is a PHD holder and doesn't want to think he or she will one day be a cab driver or a plumber, so be it. But the question i ask is, when somepone has a PHD or MASTER etc, is it written on him? or does he need to anounce to the world that he has that Qualification? If someone, thinks money is not very important, but qualification is, good for the person.Let him or her eat his/her PHD and keep his/her

Oh!,NB, if one is too choosy, get your PHD anywhere and go back to your Country of origine, you will have a god job there and even help your citizens you will be given a red carpet reception , everybody will honor you, don't try to settle in someone else's country whether it is Canada, USA, Austraillia Britain or not where they will look down upon you with your qualifications. PERIOD !!!!!!!

Good luck to all of you

Well done. I agree what you said, but I think you missed the point of the whole discussion!

It is not about the PhD or other qualifications, OR blue, green, red, jobs...it was just a discussion about the SYSTEM there and the minister announcment regarding the cut in numbers of immigrants,... then someone SMART here start accusing me for looking down on people!

I NEVER SAID THIS,,,any sensible person, WHO CAN READ my posts will see clearly my point.

IF you remmember one of my very earlier posts in this forum, I clearly mentioned that ' I will be more than happy to shovel snow in Canada if that helps to improve my children's future'

so, after this someone still accusing me for damn STUPID things I never said..

All in all, to answer you question about why this people like to make an argument about withdrawing my application...the answer is very simple:

Some people can not accept someone to judge or show a FAILURE in the Canadian system...this is a normal..becasue it may affect the internal perception regarding the place which they are dreaming of.

All the best my friend.
