Hi All -

I am an express entry aspirant and my situation is as follows :- I hold Btech & MBA degree from India and work in IT department of a company in US. I have over 7 years of ERP consulting experience. My IELTS score is 7.5 and ECA evaluation equivalent is 'Masters in Business Administration'. However, I don't have a job offer in Canada.

My question is :-

1. With my type experience, has anybody got a ITA so far ?
2. Is it possible to get ITA without a job offer ?
3. How difficult it is to arrange for a job before reaching Canada and what is the best way to do so ?
4. Any advise on how I can improve my chances of getting picked up in ITA ?
5. Does US work experience help in getting shortlisted ?

Thanks in advance.

1) Try calculating your score using the CRS calculator. If it is close to 450 you may get an ITA.
2) Yes, it is.
3) Near to Impossible. Especially, IT.
4) Improve Ielts score.
5) US work ex can help you get a job once u land in Canada. Other than u are considered as an outside applicant.

Thanks !

I just tried CRS calculator. Roughly, I am in 425-430 score range. Can I expect to be shortlisted at that score ?
Probably yes/no as there are around 15k-25k applicants in that range so not easy. You can increase ielts and if Married you can add spouse ielts also to increase score. ECA of spouse may also increase score.
