do you think MBA from USA will have huge impact on getting job?

how is the renting works? any links for getting app before landing there?

It's really nice to find gujju group in this forum.

I am mechanical engineer with 10 yrs. of experience in Process equipment design.
I need some basic information in order to proceed for FSW.

(1) As my profession is regulated in Canada, is it possible to get job as skilled worker before getting P. Eng.
(2) How difficult is to obtain P. Eng and what are the requirements of obtaining P. Eng?
(3) for visa do I have to verify my Degree and need to prepare CDR like Australia immigration? or just send my transcripts?
(4) how long does it take for whole process?
(5) how difficult is to get job in Canada?

I am Rakeshkumar Ghoghari, is a Permanent Resident of Canada under Federal Skilled Worker Program-2014 (NOC-3212)
I landed in Ontario,Canada on December 22, 2014 alone.
I want to start process of my spouse & child as their Medical Examination is already done along with me & police certificate is also submitted of her to CIC( child police certificate is not required as he is 15 month old).
I didn't applied for my spouse & child as i was short of money to show as proof of fund at that time.

Kindly guide me in my case.

mine is exactly the same case as urs....all dates same...except NOC is 2133...

Hi I am 2133 applicant app received on 1st OCT, CC charged on 14Dec and PER received on 13th Jan.

Try reaching CIC on +1 613 944 4000.

If you are lucky they may give you UCI and can check status online...

Alberta is always good choice compare to Toronto. Currently market is down in Alberta because of the OIL price is down. For renting place , kijji.ca is the best website. Its always good to stay with friend or relative for some weeks and than rent a place. you can rent basement which is good for immigrants. It becomes colder than apartment but cheaper.

You can get basement from 800-1400. Depends on basement and furniture. All the Utilities mostly included in rent. In apartment , you need to pay extra for Utilities, Parking, Tenant insurance and internet.

if you are looking for banking job than its good to take the certification. check https://www.csi.ca/ website.
In Finance initially , you will not get good money but after you will be settle. Edmonton is also good place. Rent is cheaper in Edmonton. if you are engineers , Edmonton have lots of trade jobs. For computer Engineers, Calgary is good choice.

First, Second week - Apply for SIN Card ( Go to Nearest service canada , take landing paper , they will give
SIN number for all your family members.)
- Open Bank account.
- Apply for Health card once the Bank Statement comes. ( Go to Nearest Registry office)
- Start preparing Written Test - Driving exam . Once you get bank statement. Go to
nearest Registry for the Written test.
- PR card will come within 8 weeks. If you do not receive call customer service.
- For Job - Indeed, Kijji ( for retail, part time)
- Apply for Child benefit. ( you can get the form from Nearest Service Canada)
-Apply for GST benefit. ( you can get the form from Nearest Service Canada)


It will test you Patient for few months. if you keep trying all will be good.
