Hi Hasni,Hasni said:nice stuff poison, can you tell something about the Muslim communities, do they live in specific areas, any tips on where to live if someone comes for a short landing initially with family for a month or so. Thanks
Canada is a multi-cultural country, you wouldn't find full areas dedicated to one community. However, in some suburbs, you will find more population from one community than other, and likewise. But it does not mean that no other people live in that suburb. I live in New Westminster (a suburb of Metro Vancouver) and we have all mixed population here. My either side neighbours are Caucasian and Chinese respectively.
However, one piece of advise, it is always good to find people from your own community, but nevertheless, expand your network to others and you will have more options/advise/suggestions for jobs, housing, etc.
To answer your question, I have met many muslims in Edmonton. Some of them were from Lebanon, Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. So there are muslim communities in Edmonton.
Good luck.
