Guidance Request for Student VISA Extension from India

I am enrolled as a graduate student of Memorial University, NL, Canada, having 2 year course duration. Still I have to complete 1 year of study. Currently, I am studying remotely from India due to pandemic, on-campus self-isolation regulation of university and travel ban.

My student VISA is going to expire on 2nd August' 2021 due to expiry of passport on 3rd August' 2021. I have renewed my passport on 7th May’ 2021.

Looking at the present situation of pandemic and travel ban, I may not travel to Canada up to 2nd August’ 2021.

You are kindly requested to guide for procedure to be followed for extension of student VISA and oblige.

This is a unique situation during the pandemic, and you should write an email to delhi/regional Canadian embassy with words like "URGENT" written in subject line, explain them the situation i think they'll affix a new stamp for you. Also, why wait, travel as soon as ban opens, if not direct, indirect way through UAE should open in July - keep those options ready you know!
