Guidance regarding the study permit on a conditional offer letter.

Hello friends,

I want to apply for a Canadian study permit for Fall-2012. My qualifications are B.Tech.(ECE) from GGSIPU Delhi, MS(EE) from IIT Delhi.

I have recently submitted my thesis and I am waiting for my thesis defense.
I have a conditional offer(subject to completing of my MS degree) along with funding from the institute.

Can I apply for a visa on the basis of the conditional offer or I must wait for my Thesis defense and then apply for the visa (but that will be too late).

I also applied on conditional letter but your case is different , I think you should wait for the completion of the degree. If you thesis defense will be complete within the CHC processing time then apply and explain them that your thesis defense will be complete by the time........

I am expecting my Defense around august 15/20. But if I apply after that my application wont be considered as it will be 2 late.

I have consulted the university where I have applied for PhD sometime back regarding the same issue. They advised that I may apply with the conditional letter n it should not be a problem.

But I am too confused about this entire thing.

I have a thesis submission proof from my current institute. Will that help if I apply.

Or I should wait till the defense.

Please guide me wht shud I do?

I am looking for going to Quebec to attend this fall term. I am not sure in which course do i need to apply as everything seems like CLOSED admission now. I ma a software engineer having 8 yrs of exp.

Check out Concordia computer science and software engineering website , but in my opinion it is difficult to get for fall now , because if they give u admission in say three weeks u can't apply for visa straight , u have to get CAQ...which is a month process...but they also have winter session starting January 2013 ..go for it...

However, I am having the same problem right now and wanted to know whether applying on conditional visa was accepted.

And also, did you apply online for visa? I wanted to know where do we upload documents like marksheets, test scores etc., in which section?
Because I do not see a space to upload those...

I didn't apply only... I did it at the Vac... I think you should upload it together with something else... I mean you can... For example in the same pdf your SOP and toefl results... Just as an example..
