I am working in Canda since Apr2019 on a job offer letter issued in 2018 (after offer, background check, LMIA, Visa approval and then relocation from outside canada etc) so joined in 2019.
The original job letter says full-time, indefinite employment as Software developer with XYZ company. My LMIA/Work permit has same company name and my Work-permit was renewed as well in Nov2019 which has same XYZ company name.
Few Questions:
To claim job offer 50points,
The original job letter says full-time, indefinite employment as Software developer with XYZ company. My LMIA/Work permit has same company name and my Work-permit was renewed as well in Nov2019 which has same XYZ company name.
Few Questions:
To claim job offer 50points,
- Can I use 2018 issued job offer letter which has mentions full-time, indefinite employment along with a fresh employment letter from HR saying full-time, permanent role as software developer?
- Some consultant told another CEC friend in a different but a small company that you need to get a new offer letter which should write that this offer letter is to help him get Permanent Residency etc. Is this mandatory?.
- CIC website says job offer should have "for at least one year". Can we say original old job offer mentioning "full time, indefinite employment" and recent HR employment letter saying "full-time, permanent basis" is sufficient to satisfy above 1year requirement?. I can request HR to modify employment letter if some wordings can be more helpful. Do we need to explicity say soemwhere that this job is valid for 1+year as to me full-time,indefinite and permanent full time indicate same only.
- Does it make sense to ask for a new offer letter as my old letter is anyway used by CIC to issue me work permit etc. so they know the same. I am not sure as normally companies issue 1 offer letter only for a permanent job.
