GTS lmia workpermit India

I applied my lmia workpermit from India under GTS category on 8th October 2021. Biometrics done on November 24th 2021. Review of eligibility started long ago. No updates since then. Anyone in the same boat?

Hi - I'm in a similar position but waiting for an update in UAE. GTS ICT LMIA Exempt work permit applied in Feb this year, no response. Has your medical been updated in your file?

Yeah, medical updated on December 2nd. Review of eligibility is going on since a long time. I don’t know when I will receive my PPR.

I may sound stupid but unless an application is rejected, we will always get the PPR sooner or later right? I mean is there any situations like an application can get missed out completely by ircc ? My review of eligibility says “we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility”,since a long time now. My frustration is making me think too much.

As far as Canada is concerned, nothing is guaranteed [ I am saying this out of personal experience with the whole system as I Have applied many diff visas in many categories for self and family]

I mean is there any situations like an application can get missed out completely by ircc ?Unfortunately, off late applications are being processed 100% randomly. For ex, Spousal Work permits for Indian nationals was paused since covid delta. Once they picked it up in Mar 2022, they were doing some sequential processing of applications submitted from Apr 2021. From files from after May 2021,they stopped processing and moved to october and now they are looking at Jan 2022 files. All files in between were left out[ May Jun July Aug Sep 2021 applicants]. Randomly a few are now getting PPR in June 2022 but it is too small a number to factor.

Particularly files of people with children were left out for many months and then picked up randomly again. There is absolutely no consistency

Check other threads and you will hear of many such updates

My review of eligibility says “we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility”,since a long time now. This is just a technical update. In some cases, the status never changes and one ends up getting PPR

Cutting the long story short, there is nothing like a guaranteed PPR. One always has to show funds, home ties and justify a purpose to travel to the country.
