I lost my job because of covid recently. I got a new job offer recently. The Employer will apply for GTS LMIA for fast processing.

Can I use GTS LMIA for applying TFW inland? I think that I cannot apply GTS while being in Canada. So, I want to use GTS LMIA for applying TFW in Canada. Is this possible?

Please help.

You need to be applying from outside of Canada to take advantage of the fast processing under GTS. The "outside of Canada" requirement is very clearly outlined here:

I have looked at this requirement. and I am aware of this requirement.

my question is : is it possible to use gts lmia for tfw visa application inland? I will not apply for gts from inside canada. I will use gts lmia for applying tfw visa inland.

the employer is using gts lmia route for quick result. can I use this gts lmia for applying tfw visa inland? I won't apply through gts.

I don't know.

Given the kind of questions you are asking, you would probably be best off hiring an immigration lawyer to help you.

yes, ircc processed within two weeks

That's awesome. Congratulations. Did you notify or request IRCC somehow for two weeks processing? I'm in CA and changing job. The employer has received GTS-LMIA approval and submitted work permit application with that. But, looks like the processing time is ~130 days. Not sure, what can be done to request fast processing?

What is the process that you followed? @RnDtech

if lmia is based on gts, then it should take about 2 or 3 weeks if you are in canada. there are questions before submitting your documents such as whether lmia was issued under gts . you should answer yes to these questions. I had my visa almost 10 months ago, I dont know if anything has changed since then. also, I provided upfront medical examination to expedite my process

Didn't happen with me, if you are inside Canada you are only fast tracked for LMIA, while work permit is not processed under GTS if applied within Canada. I got my WP after 4 months but LMIA was fast tracked. If I went out of the country and then applied for WP, it would have taken 2 weeks. Another option to consider after LMIA(if whithin Canada) is flagpoling on US border. You can get a WP from CBSA instantly.

This link states clearly "Apply online from outside Canada"

Interesting, yeah - I noted that link too. Flagpoling - Is that even a reliable mechanism? Sounds a bit risky from immigration perspective?

When you get a LMIA, you can get the authorization to work under this policy
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...esidence/work-permit/changing-employment.html

If you have this and your visa is still valid, they cannot stop you from re-entering Canada. Else, If you have a US visa, you can go to USA and then apply, or maybe go back and apply from India. But, you can call CBSA to check if you will be allowed.
