GST/HST does this affect an application?

HI guys,

I have been having an issue with the canada revenue agency since i changed my marital status. I just checked my account online today on the canada revenue website and its saying that I am owing $90.62 for my GST/HST and they are processing new GST/HST based on the new marital status.

Does this have any effect on the sponsorship/PR application for my wife?

I'm pretty sure that you don't have anything to worry about. It's actually kind of dumb how they determine GST/HST eligibility because they use your current marital status, but your income from 2 tax returns ago.

Anyway, there won't be any correlation between the that and your application.

My husband statement also states that he now owes $134 and it it because of the change of his marital status. They did posted that we need to send proof of how much money have I earned last year. I am not working because I am waiting for my wp, and my PR. Does anyone have any advice on what should I send them? I haven't been working last year at all.. Thank

It won't affect anything. I owe about 100 or something to the government because of GST/HST and my husband got approved. Still mad that I owe. :c
