Grant of citizenship (Minor)

Hey there
I’m Canadian citizen.
I applied for my son who was born outside Canada 7 years old now. No physical presence days. PR in 2022.
Application applied 6 October 2024
AOR - 21 October 2024

after that application in progress. Nothing shows.
How long it takes .

You're right, proof of citizenship timelines are completely different than for grant of citizenship. (I also have questions because that's first I've ever heard of proof of citizenship coming so fast even for a child, so much so I wonder if it's real).

But at any rate: I did this for one child (under the child of citizen grant, not at same time as parent - I think that's 5(2) but not certain) about two years ago?).

It took about four months after second submission (first was returned because they didn't like the ID submitted - although I contend it was sufficient acc to rules; anyway submitted again with more ID). About six months total. I cannot say whether this is typical timeline or not, but it seems roughly similar to others I've seen - and makes sense as roughly same as a (fast) regular grant application but without much background checking and no tests. (Yes, we'd all assume it could be a lot faster, but they still have their procedures)
