GRADUATING WHEN WAITING FOR RESPONSE FOR STUDENT VISA EXTENSION

Hi everyone!

I have a situation on my hands right now. My student visa expired on 25 of March, but I applied for extension on 24 of March (I know, I messed up). So the worst part is that I am graduating this month, while waiting for my Student Visa Extension.

My questions are: Can I graduate from College if I am still waiting for my reply? Should I buy my flight tickets or is there going to be a problem at the airport? and is it better to wait for their response?

I don't get it, buy flight tickets to where?
Regarding your first question, as long as you applied before the expiry date you're still legally a student.

1. You are not eligible to apply for PGWP without a valid study permit in hand.
2. You will lose your implied status if you leave Canada now (provided you aren't from a TRV exempt country).
