I got my post-graduation work permit. It says that "unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution, or taking academic, professional, or vocational training course". So am I allowed to take a course that is less than 6 months? Should I tell the immigration agancy if I take some course during my work permit?

As per my knowledge, a course of less than 8 months does not require a study permit, so you should be good!

Agreed. It's six months (not eight).
