I have a dilemma. I was wondering if there is anyone here who has had the same situation before. I'm on a temporary working visa. My contract with the employer expires on March 6th. But it will be renewed, for sure. I want to go to the Philippines for a visit from Dec 11th until January 11th. First concern, can I come back in time, to Canada, no problem? Meaning, will the embassy in the Philippines allow me to leave even if my return to Canada is too close on the expiry of my contract? I've heard (although not officially from the embassy or government) that they do not recommend you to leave within 2-4 months of the expiry of contract, as the embassy might stop you from leaving the country? Is there truth to this? Secondly, will I have enough time to process my re-entry visa, given that I go home during the holiday season? I appreciate any help, thnx!
