Hello

So my PR application with EE has been in review for 4 months and a week now, I applied for an open work permit since my work permit expired in the interim, are there any people here who have got their PR who can give heads up on what emails they received? I have received 2 "ghost emails" talkng about my status has been updated but nothing has actually been updated once I login... Hoping to hear your success stories :D :D :D :D

For the information you seek, the best way is to read thru the forum buddy.

people don't generally stick around here once they get their PR ! neither are they have enough time to write down the experience you ask !

good luck ;) :)

I submitted my application on 14th oct and got PPR on 26 oct. I am Outland candidate.
Got my copr and passport last week.

Can someone who has already landed in canada please tell me about funds what I should carry at canada entry . I kno it's about 13 K dollars but still what's the best way if I don't wanna take that much money with me, as I'll not require it there. If required my parents can send me money later.

Thanks

I filled in and submitted my Express Entry profile on January 1st. At that time I had around 470 points (I don't remember). I applied along with my wife. Both my wife and I had completed IELTS in June 2014 and I already had my ECA completed around June 2014 as well. We had a good lawyer and he recommended we be prepared. When I got my ECA done, I think it took a couple of weeks; they weren't as busy then. I was eligible for both FSW and CEC. I completed my Bachelors in London, England and completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Toronto. Inland application.

I got my ITA on March 20th, FSW. By then my score has increased to 500ish because of my work experience in Canada. I had applied for my wife's ECA too which further increased my score to 510. Completed medicals in the first week of April. Collected all the documents and submitted on May 11th. After that all we could do is wait. We were confident that our paperwork was complete and accurate. We were lucky to have a very good lawyer who did his job well.

The day after we submitted the documents, we received an update that the medicals were completed and passed. Then things slowed down a bit. I did get a few ghost emails saying that the application was updated, but I could not see any changes on my end. Last week of July I got a new message from CIC for me to upload the Schedule A form. The same night I got the passport request (I hadn't even submitted my schedule A yet).

10th August I received my passport and COPR. Officially landed August 29th.

Best of luck to you.

:) :) :)

Very good explanation , I hope the person that asked gets to see your detailed response.

Pretty much the same for me except that I got only 2 updated emails, first one when medical was passed and second one a day before I got PPR.
