Got visa yesterday......I have 2 questions

Hi I have received my visa yesterday. I have 2 questions.

1. My destination is Mississauga, Ontario. As far as I know there is no direct flight from New Delhi to Mississauga. We have to go to Toronto and then by road travel to Mississauga. Since it has been said that we have to land first at the destination mentioned on the COPR, so in my case will there be problem if I land at Toronto. Where will all the formalities done, Mississauga or Toronto.

2. It is mentioned in the cover letter that family members not examined at this time cannot be sponsored in the future. Does that mean that I cannot sponsor my parents. Since when I filled the initial form, I have mentioned only me and my wife as family members, as my consultant said there is no need to mention my parents.

U can land anywhere except Quebec irrelevant of what is mentioned in COPR.

You can sponsor ur parents .No issue in this.

Buddy dont worry, Pearson airport is technically in missisaga and not in Toronto. Misisauga actually is part of GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and hence people say pearson in toronto

Mississauga, is in Ontario, very close, i hope u have to land in Ontario which is most close to your destination. we can land anywhere in Canada expect Quebec...

when we are doing medical we have to do whole family, means self , spouse and kids, if anybody missed in this list then it’s a problem, for your parents we can process later.

As for parents they can only be sponsored once u assure the Canadian VO that you have sufficient job/money/funds and housing facility available for ur parents here in Canada. Usually it take considerable amount of time to get all these formalities.

Actually - CIC is not accepting parent sponsorship applications at this time.

We expect CIC will start accepting these applications again late this year or possibly early next year. To sponsor your parent you must have a job and must be making sufficient income to meet the low income cut off requirements. Your parents must also pass a medica.

No issues buddy, Mississauga is suburb of Toronto, part og GTA (Greater Toronto Area), and yes Pearson Airport is in Mississauga i.e. GTA, plus you may land any where in Canada except Quebec, so, no worries, have a great journey and a great life in Canada
