Congratulations, Mehtaab!
May I please ask you a few questions that I have about filling the student application form under SPP. For a 2 year study, do I need to show the finances available for both the years in advance or just 80% of loan for first year's expenses will do.
Here is my situation--
I have been given admission in a two year diploma course with a fee + expenses totalling 22,450 CAD per year (~45,000 CAD/21 lakhs for two years). I have also taken education loan in the amount of 9 lakhs and have savings of 5.5 lakhs. I have three questions about filling the student application form "Details of intended study in Canada" section
1. What should be filled in the "cost of studies" column--one year or total 2 yr duration tuition + living expenses. If I mention two year total cost and show 80% amount of loan for first year's expenses only, will that be an issue? Would they question that I dont have sufficient funds for the entire duration of study?
2. In "Funds available for study in Canada" column, should I write the sum total of loan amount sanctioned (9 lakhs)+ my personal savings (5.5 lakhs) or addition my father's and sister's savings info as well to cover both the year's expenses.
3. In "My expenses in Canada will be paid by" column which is a drop down menu with three options: myself, parents or others; if I choose "myself" option, would this include my loan, my savings and family members salaries/savings OR should I choose "other". Would choosing "other" create any confusion or need for clarification.
I will appreciate any guidance on this very much. I plan to apply for visa in Delhi next week.
Thanks and all the best,
SP
