No I didnt got any email...just checked my passport status every hour on vfs site from past 3 days...and today my processed passport received at vfs canada vac chandigarh(so excited at that time)..reached their office within half an hour after reading the status to collect the passport.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF STUDY

I have a degree in Law from one of the top universities of India and working in the capacity of Corporate and Commercial Lawyer in a Law Firm. Being from a business class family, I have always been intrigued towards the legal procedure involved in business as I have seen my family consulting lawyers for business issues.

Corporate Lawyers are hired to handle all legal aspects of business starting from commercial transactions to corporate mergers, Incorporation, acquisitions, amalgamations, due diligence etc. Due to Globalisation, Corporate Lawyers also have a duty to keep their clients up to date on business laws and regulations on international levels like Foreign Collaborations & Joint Ventures, takeovers, foreign direct Investments, Import - Export related matters etc.

While working in this field, I realized that the current level of knowledge and experience is not sufficient to reach to higher levels and build a successful career. I feel that I am not equipped with the business and managerial tools that are fundamental to evolve in this competitive corporate world. Many huge companies these days in India are opting to recruit lawyers with business management skills keeping in mind all the advantages involved in hiring them. The company gets an added advantage as they end up hiring a person who can multitask well. In addition, as India being a booming economy and now as we have international clientele, hence to serve them better, multinationals demand corporate lawyers who understand business and legal concepts from an international perspective.

The International Business Management which I intend to do cover a range of topics related to the business management skills and legal issues. I would be exposed to the processes involved in Strategic Management, International Finance, International Management, Global Marketplace, Global Entrepreneurship and Global Growth Strategies. Further, the most important being the Legal Considerations in International Trade which would introduce me to the real-world examples of ethical and legal considerations in various cultural and business settings.
The topics involved will help me in my personal growth as well. I will be able to master skills such as analytical and strategic thinking to avoid crisis situation, problem solving and decision making, planning, organising, self management, time management, team management etc.

Taking up business management and that too on International level is something which is quite lucrative for me and the employer. I will get a wonderful chance to lay a very strong foundation for my career with focus on diversity and multicultural concerns and gaining knowledge in traditional business topics with global mindset. And coming to the employer, it would be beneficial to hire a competent person who can develop more “commercial “solutions to the problems and manage his business considering all the legal aspects. I am sure that having this diploma would ensure better employment opportunities and a successful career back at home.


WHY CANADA

I short-listed two colleges, one in Canada and other in Australia. After consulting with my peers and seniors and checking course contents thoroughly, I am convinced that Canada is a better option as it has developed a first-rate education system with high standards and global recognition.

Canadian culture is more diverse and vibrant. It is considered peaceful, safe and orderly country. Being a country of immigrants from all over the World, different perspectives are respected and learning together is encouraged.

Tuition fees and living expenses are also in favour of Canada when compared to other countries with equally good education system.

WHY GEORGIAN COLLEGE

I have come to learn that the Georgian College is one of largest, most diversified and highly respected colleges in Canada. Georgian results on the KPI Surveys exceeded the provincial college average especially in student satisfaction in terms of quality of services, programming and resources. The facilities offered by the College will help me gain experience be it social, recreational or my personal development. This program brings together participants from all over the world, so I would be in contact with diverse cultures and I would also develop an international network. It would be very rewarding to share and exchange thoughts and ideas with a group of people who are from different nationalities, cultural orientations and schools of thought on one platform.
Another factor making the International Business Management program from Georgian College like no other is its length and time span of 12 Months. Mostly people like me who have had an experience in the job world want to upgrade their skills in a specific specialization, which is available as short term diploma courses. My motive is not to get job after that but to gain valuable skills in my profession which will help me to move in the higher levels. Besides, once in the workforce, I really can't afford to be jobless for years and so doing a short term diploma seems a much viable choice. After being a part of Georgian college I am sure, I would grow into an enterprising and an outstanding graduate.



To sum it up, I would like to state that having quality education and ample exposure in the legal field has built a solid foundation of the law sector specific knowledge and skills, however, now I wish to complement all this with focused and structured study of business management to launch a successful managerial career on a global level. Business knowledge combined with all the necessary skills is vital to appreciate my net worth as a thorough professional.

plagrsm is serious in canada..
if at all someone else before u sent this.. u cud face rejection for this..

better to just take pointers and make ur own..
neways every case is unique.. so spend some time, sit down n write one..
 
VO are not looking for scholars in literature..

they just need genuine honest students..
so write ur own SOP.. make sure ur grammer is correct..

proof read again n again.. dats it..
no need to go fancy..

just be honest.. smart.. fill ur gaps.. justify loopholes.. n show a plan..
