how to satisfy an immigration officer???

i have applied for a student visa but got denied because i have not satisfied the officer that i will leave Canada at the end of my study that includes my purpose of visit and future employment in my country of residence.

Can i just write a letter to them the reason why i chose to study in Canada and i promise that i will leave Canada after my study? can a letter of promising them to go back to my country would satisfy them?

My case is bit complicated. My parents divorsed when i was 2! Then my father married again. Now my passport had d name of my natural mother as per indian laws while my edu. Certificates has name of my step mother.
While applying for file i wrote tge marital status of my parents (as per passport) as divorsed. I also attached an affidavit mentioning the divorse and re marriage thing plus the divorse deed.
What are my chances of visa?
