ALHUMDULILAH, I got my passport back today with Visa stamped from CHC-LONDON. My timeline is below:

App filed: April-2007
AOR: July-2007
Doc. Req: May 2009
Additional Doc + updated PCC: Jan 2011
Medical Req: Jun 2011
Medical Done+sent: July 2011
PPR: Sep 2011
Passport Rec: 19-Oct-2011
Landed: Yet to land
Visa Office: London
Applied from: UAE

But I was wondering what was that documents that is needed to be passed after the 1st AOR?

I am an old applicant and applied under SAP in 2007, in additional documents they only asked updated PCC and the IMM0008 (if i remember correctly the form number), that was it.

Once again thanks to all.
Could seniors please shed some light on below:

1)I am planning to land in Feb 2012. I am heading to Toronto. Is Feb a good month to start a new life in canada as I heard it will be freezing cold.


2)How much funds will be sufficient for a year (fortunately I don't have to pay for housing and stuff as I will be staying with some family members.)


3) I am a highly qualified IT expert, to be precise a Computer Network Engineer and I am a CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert). How easy it is for a network engineer to find a job in GTA or anywhere else in Canada? Are they in big demand there?

Could seniors please shed some light on below:

1)I am planning to land in Feb 2012. I am heading to Toronto. Is Feb a good month to start a new life in canada as I heard it will be freezing cold. (heavy snow falling and snow storm in Month of Feb 2012, Temp could be -5 to - 15 in Toronto)


2)How much funds will be sufficient for a year (fortunately I don't have to pay for housing and stuff as I will be staying with some family members.) ( Why for year ? You will get highly paid job in few months, you have excellent qualifications in IT field, if you are staying with a family, single person expenses $ 300 - 600 per month)

I would like to point out regarding the second point. @hmisabpk mentioned "if you are staying with no family, single person expenses $ 300 - 600 per month". I want to add that the expenses are 300-600 per month ONLY IF you are staying with your family members and not paying for housing or living in a shared accomodation. If you plan to take/lease an apartment of yours then the housing itself will cost upwards of 800-1200 per month.
