Applied on 16th July, 2012 at VFS Mumbai under SPP. Got my passport today afternoon :D

- Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai (2010) - first class
- Working as a Software Engineer since then
- IELTS Band 8.5 (L 9.0, R 9.0, W 7.5, S 9.0)
- Educational loan of Rs. 8,00,000

Applied for Web Development graduate certificate at Humber College. Did NOT send any extra documents like SOP or experience letter.

P.S. Beware of forum members like "OCEANDRIVE" who will misguide you by telling you things like you need a SOP if you have a gap after graduation or that your loan amount is insufficient etc. No extra documents are needed whatsoever under SPP. A small note may be included if there's a glaring defect in your application, but that's about it. My application was pretty straightforward, so I didn't include any note or SOP.

Thats great Bro..!! I am happy for u..!! Congrats..!! And yes as u said.. if its a straight forward application u wont need much justification from ur part..!! Ur profile and the result relieves me a lot..!! And also those who tell that application to Humber college increases the chance of rejection, this is an answer..!! :) :)

Congrats bro for getting visa. pls answer my queries............

your course is Web development http://www.humber.ca/program/web-development#fees
which has fees for international students $19200. According to many expert members and checklist ur loan should have been 80% of one year fee and expense.
in your case 80% of 19200+10000=23360*53=1238080 lac.
but you showed loan of 8 lac only. How much fee u paid and how much fund you showed in saving accounts? pls explain correct funda of loan and correct if anything is wrong.
Did you show income source or property documents? or just explained about it.
please explain how you calculated loan amount and post list of documents you submitted?
Thanks.

@world

hey congratz, but isnt your course in humber only 1 year?

I hope u have read the headline... " Got SPP visa without extra documents" which means he hasnt submitted any of those papers which u mentioned and property documents and savings are not to be shown in SPP applications..!! Ur calculation abt the loan must be right..!! But he must have deducted the amount paid and calculated the loan amount..!! He will be the better one to clarify..!! wait for him to reply..!!

Nandu
right. and he might didn't submit his 10th & 12th certificates too.

Both "thatsnandu" and "sunny581" are right. I submitted precisely what was asked for on the SPP checklist. No 10th/12th, no resume, no SOP, no work experience letters.

Regarding loan, I had already pre-paid the first sem fee, so I took out a loan of 80% of the remainder.

Congrats dude....
and this is the answer to all who were saying that loan amount should be around 11 lakhs irrespective of whether u have paid 1st sem from own pocket or not... and to all who were saying that people who get visa with loan of Rs 8.5 lakhs are just lucky and nothing else...
I hope "amandeep"..nw it should be clear ki people who r refused visa is due to other reaons and not because that they took loan after deducting the amount of 1st sem fees from the total amount....

congratsss again :) :)

Congrats on getting your Visa

in-spite of not meeting the SPP requirement you still got your visa because your profile is very strong

Every one on this Forum is not gifted like you with a sharp mind, great language skills (IELTS 8.5) and a strong profile like yours,,, Thank God and be grateful for that.

So for the less fortunate and the ones with not so impressive profile like yours I still stand my point and opinion. What worked for you may not work for some one else, I have seen many cases on this forum whose application were rejection on grounds of not meeting the 80% loan requirement.

So in a way you are not letting other forum members look in to my advise which is reasonable.

I have an advise for you, a very valuable one
