I received email from CHC, Kuala Lumpur on 20-04-2010 - 5 days back - that my visa(s) are ready to be issued and they have requested me to bring in the Passports and submit the RPRF . They also requested the new height for my son.

They also mentioned in the email that my visas are valid till 23-02-2011 (i.e. one year from my date of medicals). I have to land before 23-02-2011. They haven't mentioned any deadline to submit my passports and RPRF.

Another thing they mentioned at the end of the email is:

"....Please note that you are to enter Canada before 23-02-2011. Otherwise, you will need to undergo and pass a new medical examination before an extension of your validity date to enter Canada can be done...... "
A few questions that I have for the forum here:

1. How much time do you have in general to submit the RPRF after you received a request (email) from them?

2. What if I want to delay sending the passports for a couple of months, any negative impact on my file?

3. I am sending in the RPRF and my son's new height ASAP via courier. And then after sometime has passed I take the passport physically to the visa office in Kuala lumpur, so that they have had enough time to cash the draft. My question is: how much time can I take (maximum) to delay taking my passport?

4. How do I send the new height of my Child? Would a simple cover letter suffice?

5. What if, due to some personal issues, I don't want to land before 23-02-2011. Is it too risky to not land before the expiry and go for another medical and get extension? Is that even an option based on the letter from CHC above?

6. What if I complete the landing procedure with my family and return back, and I go back again after 3-4 months? Any potential issues I might face?

Can anyone comment on my above approach and help me answer the questions? Any seniors?

I wouldn't wait more than 45 days.

2. What if I want to delay sending the passports for a couple of months, any negative impact on my file?

Yes, they may send you a letter stating "that it appears you are no longer interested in immigration, if we don't receive your PP in x days, we will close your file"

3. I am sending in the RPRF and my son's new height ASAP via courier. See 1

4. How do I send the new height of my Child? Would a simple cover letter suffice?

Yes with his name.

5. What if, due to some personal issues, I don't want to land before 23-02-2011. Is it too risky to not land before the expiry and go for another medical and get extension? Is that even an option based on the letter from CHC above?

No extension, you don't "land" your visa is invalid, and you start over again if you qualify.

6. What if I complete the landing procedure with my family and return back, and I go back again after 3-4 months? Any potential issues I might face?

No.

Thank you PMM for the response. Really appreciate it.

PMM, one quick question: Since they mentioned in the letter that my immigration visa(s) are ready to be issued and have asked me to bring in the passports, do you have an idea if they would return back my passports the same day after visa stamping? Or I would have to travel back again to Kuala Lumpur to collect my passports. I live in Penang (400 Kms from Kuala Lumpur). I have already sent them the RPRF bank draft via courier 15 days back as per their request in the letter. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I guess you would have to travel back to KL to get your passport. Check with the consulate to confirm.
