hello Thomas,

It's around 6-8 months including medical if your documents are ready at the time when u will get your csq and their is no problem with your medical and security checks.

Yes Thomas at least 6-8 months after csq , for example. If you send your document to federal they will check all the requirements about your medical and do your security checks on that places where you residing from the last 10 years if they find every thing right they will Send u your medical and give u some time to do and then u send it back to federal and again they will send u the letter to send your passports and fee. This whole process take at least this much time.

I'm currently working in Montreal as a Software Developer, for almost 1 year. My company is english speaking, so my french is beginner level. I really afraid of interview. I would like to know if there is a way to apply for CSQ without having an interview, even if it will take more time. One of my friend (who is american) told me that he applied for CSQ, and he will not hav an interview, but his application will be reviewed 3 month instead of 1, and he gave me this link, but I'm not allowed to post the link ((
Could please help me? Any advice is more than welcome.

Supremo in my knowledge there is no"Special Way" of applying by which there is an automatic interview waiver!!..may be your friend was a student and he then applied under a different category, but if you apply under Quebec Skilled Worker, then interview to have it or not can only be decided by the embassy!!

Its not officially specified that it is mandatory, though one of the forms you sign state that you will learn french. Many signs + general quebec policy & laws suggest that there is no escaping french, so it could be a deciding factor.

you can file without lang proof, but you will have to produce proof either by way of letters from your uni, employer etc. another option of filing first and then getting your tests done and updating the BIQ is also available.

Vibez_well... totally agree with u!!...

Visdpatel..just to add one more point...u must attach a receipt of french language learning in case u dont have any french language certificate..this shows that u have atleast started learning french...and the time it takes for the processing of your file..u ll use it to learn french... this has a positive effect on your file

Like Vibez_well said if you want to immigrate to Quebec ..there is no escaping french..so not only will learning french help u in immigration but also in ur settling in Quebec!!..

Am back again . I applied on March 17th 2011 but i have not got any updates or emails or any courier from HK office regarding the file number. I am a little concerned on this. Is there a way to track the status using my DOB family name? Or is there any email or Telephone where i can ask for any update on this.

I think you will be able to help me. I am just about to start the immigration process and will be applying for Quebec Provincial Program.
I am 31 yrs of age, having 9 years of experience, done B.Com (Pass) and GNIIT. Have done 1-year French certificate course. I'm not married.

Currently, working as Deputy Manager - Business Analysis with an Insurance company.

Any points that I should keep in mind or need to take care of before filing my application.

Hello Shahi,

Please suggest if it is better to attach IELTS, French proficiency certificates with initial application or these can be sent later.
Also, does going through a consultant helps?
