HI

DONT WORRY,I ASLO SEND MY APPLICATION TO PARIS AND PAYMENT MADE WITH BRITISH VISA CARD THEY CAN TAKE MY PAYMENT FROM MY CARD AND CONVERT MY POUNDS IN CANADIAN DOLLARS.

BYE

Hello all,

Please is anyone in the house who used a Credit card for his/her payment? I submitted my application with a Credit Card payment form filled but my Credit Card is USD Denominated and someone said it has to be in CAD before it can be charged, just wanted to know if this is true. My application is sent to Paris as that is the office that handles applications from my country.

Thank you.

Hi shahi,

I am form Afghanistan but studying in india, our immigration office is hong kong , I applied in last week of october 2010 and got AOR exactly 15 days later and since then i haven't heard anything from them.

I have DELF B1 and quite comfortable in french as i was studying in a francophone school in Afghanistan.

Could you tell me how long it is taking to get a call for the interview?

Do they send the interview letter in e-mail or by post?

Is there any possibility to be waived from interview?

In case the called me for interview where is it going to held in india or in hong kong? As I am living in india

sorry for putting you in trouble .

Fahim,

It generally takes 6 - 8 months to get an interview call.... interview waiver..well that depends on your profile..like French skills,,work exp,,qualifications ...single or married etc...

I m also DELF B1...and like you said...its not a problem to communicate in french..so dont worry abt interview..it is quite simple...interview letter can come by e-mail or normal mail..

Interviews are held twice a year for India... April of the year in HK....and Nov-dec..in India...

Good Luck
Shahi

Thanks shahi for those valuable information.

I had one doubt about the financial self sufficiency that is the proof of having that minimum amount required when you are going to the interview? or it is just a formality? I am talking about the amount of money which one needs to have for at least first 3 months when he is reaching to Quebec.

I couldn't find any comment about this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation.

The minimum amount needed to carry initially is mentioned on the quebec site varies depending on your marital status and no. of childern u have..!!

But make sure you have the required amount of money which u write on the financial self sufficiency form.

Reg Interview

Hey guys,

I have submitted my Quebec application at the end of October. Do we receive any communication from HONGKONG or its just INTERVIEW/CSQ in the proposed time?

Friends, is it possible to apply for CSQ without any knowledge of french????

If I am eligible, have good proficiency in English, but no proficiency in french, can I apply?

Hi,

Yes it is possible but make sure that you provide a document that shows you have enrolled for the french language class in a reputed french language academy. But you should meet the minimum point requirement for Quebec immigration under QSW.

Dear PGT,

Well, I will consider myself lucky in that case. I received an acknowledgement of file acceptance on the 20th Nov.. It was approx 1 month after I posted the docs.

Good Luck Champ.

Hi,

No I got AOR after 15 days of sending my application to biq hk, but after that no news... what do you think when are they going to call us for interview?

Hi Everyone,

After gathering All documents and notarizing them finall on March the 17th 2011, I sent the file to Honkong. When can i expect a receipt or an acknowledgement from the Officals. I had no knowledge on french till fed 3rd just have joined classes from 3rd feb 2011, and finished 80 hours of class. and continuing with A1 part2 and wil be writing DELF A1 on May 16th hope everything goes well. I scored around 55 point which includes the adaptability points as well. My consultancy has to say if i clear Delf A1 my interview may be waived off.

Any idea on the interview part. How long does the whole process take? when might be the next interview scheduled? After the interview how long it takes to immigrate like how long it takes to stamp the Visa

Please advice :)

Hi Thomas,

You will receive an AOR by a 20 days or a months time so do not worry about that. As you have not cleared the french exam yet, they might call you for an interview. Regarding the interview I have no idea when you might get it. It might take 6-8 months for an interview.
As you say that you have 55 points already without french your interview might be waived off but they prefer that you know french as it helps you get a job easily there. I would say there is a chance of 50:50 for an interview for you. I wish you do not get one as it will fast track your visa process.
All the best Thomas :D
