According to the timelines i am expecting to get PR and all passport stamping done by Jan 2019. I will be getting married in March 2019. So I get PR when I am single and will land after I get married. What will be the implications and what am I supposed to do in this case?

U can add your spouse any time before landing. If u get married after COPR and before landing u have to inform cic and send your spouse docs. They will cancel your existing copr and issue u a new one

If u get married after landing then the only way to bring ur spouse to Canada is thru spousal sponsorship

My spouse is already in Canada on work permit. So he will re enter on his work permit. I dont intend to sponsor him now. Spousal sponsorship is not the concern. I am concerned if getting PR when single and getting married and landing post that will affect COPR?

Why not land before you get married? That way you won't have any reason to fear the possible implications of not informing CIC of your status change.

A reminder to not get married first and land as single given you would never be able to sponsor your spouse if you land as single but are in fact married.

You either land as single , get married post landing then sponsor your spouse which could take time or get married before landing and then notify IRCC you are now married so your documentation reflects being married at time of landing and not as single which would be misrepresentation.

So if i get my marriage registered directly in Canada after landing and not in India, only get married in India traditionally. Will it solve the problem? or is it compulsory to get registered only from the country I am a citizen of?
