Hello,

I got my PR in March this year for which i travelled to Canada and came back to India and then have been in Toronto since July. When I had done my application my wife and i had decided we would proceed with only mine so that she can consider shifting when I have a safe job there. Now that i finally have a job I intend to start her PR process. But she's now pregnant and the delivery is expected in Feb 2018. So my queries are as below. Pls advise. And no she cannot travel for delivering the baby in Canada.

1) Do i start her process now or can i only do it after the baby is born?

2) Or can i start her PR process and state that she's pregnant?

3) When i start her PR, will it be a separate stand alone one or it would start from mine? Not a very clear question but I am asking this as my initial paperwork was done by a consultant and I don't want to spend the same money again for the work they did of just filling online forms.

Thanks in advance. Would be very grateful for any clarity on the above.

What do you mean by starting her PR? Is she going to apply for EE or do you want to sponsor her?
You made a mistake in not including her in your PR application. She didn't have to move to Canada with you. She had to do the landing only and then go back to her home country and join out when you're ready. But what's done is done.

1&2 Ok will start right away. And i guess there will be a space to mention that she is expecting

3 Regarding her application. I shouldn't be sponsoring her? I should do her application as a standalone PR? Need whatever is faster and less complicated to be the way forward as i would like her to be at least be able to join me by the end of next year.

Please help with a detailed answer Canuck & Bobbieleigh. Don't want to spend money again on a so called consultant.

3. Sponsoring her IS a standalone application. It is a brand new application that is entirely separate from your previous app. Unless she qualifies to immigrate on her own, it is the only way to bring her to Canada.
