Just got my PPs back with visas.

are there cases wherein they requested for passport and yet application was not approved?

Not sure...but there might have been where there were some problems with security checks or medicals. 1-2% cases might be there.......but thats even rare. Be positive always.

I remember once instance where 2 passports were requested and only 1 visa was granted as VO was not satisfied with marriage proof.

ur Medicals came in 12 months. ok.
