I got the PPR but the nearest VFS is still very far away. Do I have courier them my passport or should I go there in person and hand it over? Please advise.

The most secure and sensible way is to go in-person and submit the passport to VFS. Though least probable, you wouldn't want the courier service to mess up your passport now would you?? Take some time off and do it without being lazy, its an important matter. Good luck.
