Got PCC from Police Commissioner’s office in India and now in big question.

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen and currently reside in India. I applied for a PCC from Police Commissioner’s office and got it yesterday.
The problem is, I used to stay in a different state till Jan 2007. I went to Australia for study and was there till August 2009. I returned back and again started working at the same state for a year and moved to different state in Nov-2010 where I presently stay.
The PCC that I got states that

“the said applicant has not come to any adverse notice during his period of stay in XXXX city, India for the period mentioned below.
1) From Nov-2010 to Till Date.
The PCC is issued on request of the application for the purpose of VISA/MIGRATION/IMMIGRATION to CANADA.”

Wont this PCC should be issued for entire country and not just the period of stay in specific city.
Canada needs details for last 10 years of stay and hence I believe that they will need PCC for last 10 years.
I went to the police station and they told me that they provide it in this fashion and I need to apply at the previous state individually by going there.
This is complete Non-sense.
Does anyone has any idea on this.
I was thinking of applying to PSK for PCC, is that valid for IMMIGRATION purpose. And do they provide it in this fashion itself.

Hi,

It is a good idea to apply PCC from PSK, they give same day..and dont write anything specific..
I have got it done from PSK only..it is more convient

Is the PCC from PSK valid?
Do they also write such duration and city in PCC?

Don't worry. This PCC will work.

I moved to Bangalore in March 2015 and I had PCC which mentioned no adverse blah blah from March 2015 to date. Prior to Bangalore, I was in Mumbai and Mumbai Police won't issue me a PCC as I don't stay there anymore.

PCC is for the country and not the state (that is what I understand). DOn't worry, you are good here
