Got Passport Request and already missed deadline

Hello,

I had applied for study permit on 20 November, 2018 for Jan intake, 2019 as I was accepted to university of Ottawa. Today, I got passport request which would take almost 1-2 weeks to get stamped. Consequently, I need to wait till September intake, 2019 as I already missed Jan intake, 2019.

What will be further processes till that period in order to make study permit active??

Make sure you defer your admission and have a new offer letter before coming to Canada. so as not to have issues at the border.

Contact the university and check if you can start in summer, you will most likely have to defer your start to Fall 19 now. Your student permit will be handed to you when you arrive in Canada so once you get your passport stamped, you should be good to travel.

Main hassle is that University of Ottawa did not agree to defer my study to next term. According to them, I need to reapply in order to be accepted to next term and my application will be evaluated according to new admission criteria. I am not sure whether they will offer admission. Actually, I got this passport request on my third attempt as I had already faced rejection two times. That's why I am afraid of losing all efforts and hard work that I made till date.
In this regard, I am thinking of applying to other schools too. Will it be okay if I get accepted other schools and opt one?

You can join any college or university with study Visa as long as it is valid.

Don't worry just apply to any college/university. If college/university give you LOA then you are good to go.
