Got nomination but WP has expired - Pls help

Hi,
I got my nomination but my WP expired.
I applied for status restoration. Since then i am in Canada as visitor.

Now i have stopped working after WP expired.

Need urgent advise for PR and WP application. I have heard i will have apply for WP outside Canada. Please advise what is the process?

if you got your nomination.,.AINP will give you a letter with your nomination which is enough to get closed work permit with your current employer.,.,you don't have to quit your job as if you applied for restoration of status you are in implied status until a decision is made on your application.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have stopped working after WP expired. I am on Visitor status now.
Can you advise if i need to go back to my home country to apply WP and how much time does it take?

You have to stop working for sure until you get your status restored.u can stay in canada to wait for your work permit but dont even try to work when u out of status. It is considered illegal if u work when u out of status or stay as visitor.

You can apply for PR based on your nomination when u waiting for yr status restoration and the work permit . I was so worry when I lost my status but everything will be fine as long as u have nomination letter

This is very wrong. You can't continue working in this scenario because you are out of status. Applying for restoration does not allow you to continue working.

oki here is the scene.....,.

you have your nomination from AINP

many of my friends have SINP and one year work permit...so do I

Now as your work permit is expired you cant apply for bridge work permit.

apply to restore your work permit with your current employer (CLOSED WORK PERMIT) who supported your AINP...

procedure is same go to my CIC and extend your stay as worker with same employer....you need support letter from AINP. or i guess you can use your nomination letter. confirm it with AINP.

and believe me you don't have to quit your job until a decision is made on your application (unless you employer is ***hole) ( but you applied to extend your stay as visitor...so you will get a visitor visa.... you could have applied for extension of your PGWP .. but they will reject it for sure but still you could have worked for atleast 3 months during processing time...)

but you have AINP why you even care.,,,go for closed work permit.,

just want to clarify, so do you got any email from cic saying that you out of status and you have 90 days to restore your status or did u apply for visitor before your work permit expired. the reason why I ask because 2 different cases will go to different way ..

No email from CIC.
I applied for work authorisation restoration after WP expired but they restored the status to Visitor. I could not extend my WP before it getting expired since i could not get LMO and AINP did not give any letter to support the case that Nomination application is in process.
So, i had to stop working and now when i have my nomination certificate, CIC says to submit WP application from India probably because 90 days they give to restore WP has also elapsed.

Can someone please advise?
