We dont need to stay in Canada. While you enter, you will be given the landed immigrant status. At that time, you can apply for your PR card. I think we need to be in Canada for one day to apply for SIN card. Otherwise you can come back to your home country immediately (as long as you have some friend/relative in Canada whose address can be given to receive the PR and SIN cards and they can send it to you later).silvershani said:

Yes usually the visa is given until your medicals expiry date which is 1 year from the date of your medicals. If your passport expires before that, then that will be your visa expiry date as well.silvershani said:Hi PAsi Thank you very much for your reply.
