What are the chances of being approved the visa after getting study permit inside canada? And is it necesaary to apply for the visa if i don't need to travel?

You only need a TRV if you are leaving the country.

You can extend your TRV within Canada. As long as you have status to remain in Canada, you don’t need a TRV. It allows you to enter Canada.
