Got my PR today, got married 3 months ago

Man, your analysis is way off. I didn't do this to get my spouse a PR!!! she doesn't care about immigrating. She does have a job here in USA. My question was if I should update CIC now or never. Based on other replies I will get my PR card first. Then will see what happens.

No i did not make any analysis, i just told you how they are going to think in immigration canada once you inform them that you got married 3 month before getting the visa.

IN the visa office, they are not going to take it with the good intention, they will as usual doubt the reason of the marriage at this time even if your wife is an american citizen and does not have any intention to immigrate to canada because once (for example) you inform them before you land, and they add her to the application as a wife regardless of including her in your PR process or not, she will have the right later to be sponsored by you as a wife, and that is what they do not like to happen until they make sure that the marriage is genuine.

I am not analyzing anything, you asked a question based on the facts you provided, and i gave you the answer based on the facts they deal with this situation.

got my Permanent residency April of this year but I got married last Jan 2016

I got my Permanent Residency April of this year, but I got married last January. I was not informed to notify my change of status, even until now, I do not have the documents as proof of my marriage, what should I do.
