Got My GCMS Notes Back - RCMP Screening Fingerprints Required

Hi All,

I got my GCMS notes back and it says:

"RCMP Screening
"Fingerprints Required"

What does this mean exactly and how do I get them done? Just go into my local police station and ask for RCMP fingerprints?

I am an inland 2013 applicant and have not received AIP yet.

I am planning on going this week to get done so would appreciate any feedback as soon as possible!

Your local law bringers usually do the fingerprinting. I got mine done in the USA at a police station ($25 US).

As you applied to Vegreville, I assume you are "in Canada" spousal. Go to one of the approved fingerprint services in Canada. Commissionaires etc. Results in 72 hours if no record.

Yeah you are right, I did apply to Vegreville. I can get them done at my local police station, might as well go there.

I ordered my GCMS notes and it said they are required, but no, it's not something people have to do until they are asked to by CIC. I haven't been formally asked to provide my fingerprints, I am just doing it proactively to avoid longer delays.

If you want to see some updates on your file and your partners, it would be a good idea to order both of yours. You should sign 2 consent forms, one for you giving consent to your spouse and one for your spouse giving consent.

The forums here suggested getting as much paperwork together as possible. So I was proactive as well. Yesterday I got my request for passport! ;D

I applied online for mine through this link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

*Note* You will need to get the sponsor and applicant to sign the consent forms for information to be released and will probably have to pay a fee if your are not requesting information for yourself. Also, I believe you must reside in Canada or be a Canadian PR, or be a Canadian citizen to order your notes. If you live outside Canada, you need your Canadian spouse / partner to order them for you.
