So I just received my caips notes. Saw so many mistakes and incorrect info. Im not happy at all.

They say husbands security check still hasnt been completed but they told my MP in Aug it had been.
They had our marriage listed as no formal ceremony (untrue), and that we were married in 2013, when we were married in 2010.
They have our children listed as "entered in error", which Im not sure what that means. Hubby says their error is why they asked for long form birth certificates instead of the regular short form that we handed in, resulting in a 2 month delay. I am not happy at all right now and really makes me feel very uncertain that these people are competent at all.

It seems that CIC out in the overseas visa offices often get things seriously wrong. I applied for my physical GCMS notes after I had "landed" and I was horrified to see what a mess they made of the application. You are not an isolated case. Hang in there...

Isnt it awful. And they do not have to answer to anyone about it at all. The spelling is atrocious, so it seems that with the information not being transferred from my marriage certificate and application properly, the numerous spelling mistakes, just goes to show Canada is allowing incompetency within our immigration process. Its ridiculous. And makes me very angry that I could have been put thru quicker if not for a delay that was caused by them!

Not just overseas offices, the border too. A friend from South Korea went to the border to get a work permit, it was a smooth process except under citizenship, they wrote "unknown". LOL It wasn't until she applied for provincial health insurance that the error was uncovered and she had to go back for correction.

When they send the GCMS notes, there is usually a link in the email on how to request corrections on your record. You may want to follow this process in addition to sending a case specific inquiry. Be courteous in your email (as you know) since the last thing we want is to piss off the officer.

I have noticed GCMS notes make more sense if you start reading from the bottom and scroll up. Also pay attention to dates and time stamps. It's possible you may be looking at an old entry(not started) not the more current.

You are right, page 1 is newest info and page 55 is where it all started, so yes its backwards. I noticed that right away. It didnt provide any link or email for corrections tho; I wish. Do you happen to have that?
Thanks

Here's what my notes from 2014 came with(below):

Unfortunately, the link does not work so I had to google it:
Record Correction Request Form (TBS/SCT 350-11): http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/tbsf-fsct/350-11-eng.asp (then select the pdf or html format)

"You also have the right to request the correction of any errors or omissions you believe to exist in any of the enclosed information which originated with Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Should you wish to make such a request, please complete a Record Correction Request Form that can be found at http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/tbsf-fsct/350-11.pdf and return it to this office, along with documentary evidence supporting the correction. If your request for correction is not accepted for any reason, a notation will be attached to your file regarding the error or omission you believe it contains.

For further information on the ATIP programs at CIC, visit our website at www.cic.gc.ca or contact our client service centre at ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca "

You may consider writing a letter to your MP as well explaining your concerns.
