I heard the AOR is going to be via e-mail only so didn't provide change of address nor paid post office to redirect my mails to my friend.

I will check restoration of status and see whether OWP can be processed (From outside Canada)...seems like another $750 :(

You have to apply for visa(if needed) based on your work permit and you can come with that visa. if you already have existing visa that should help to come without work permit.

Sure why not.
As long as u have an reentry visa you are fine.
But they might just ask you where you are working but it is an Open work permit.
It does not really matter. YOu can just say I'm job hunting.
They will let you go since it's an open work permit.

Hi Guys! Really need your professional advice!

It could be that this question has been already asked. Anyway, I assume some CEC applicants might be in the same situation. The point is that I applied for BOWP without AOR providing a letter of explanation. The application was sent by regular post. Finally AOR has been received.

So, would you recommend to make a copy of that AOR and forward it to the Office to support my original application or they check the online system (even for paper appicants), will find my updated status, and there is no need to send any hard copies.

I would appreciate any help!! :)

It's important to remember that the operational bulletin says nothing about attaching an AOR. This is something that the processing officer can look up in GCMS themselves, and indeed the OB requires them to.

Thank you LPS ;) That was helpful.

Hi everyone,

I am in a very tight situation, where I will finish 12 months full-time employment under NOC-2175 on August 6th, 2014 and my PGWP will expire on August 7th, 2014. Can anyone tell me how can I go about applying for CEC and BOWP in a safe way? I mean the dates you think it would be safe for me to apply.

Thanks in advance.

Wait for the AOR to come before applying for BOWP, unless your PGWP is about to expire (28 August), in which case, apply anyway. Provided you applied on time, if the PGWP expires before your BOWP is approved, you may continue working under implied status.

AORs are currently taking about 40-45 days (source - http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/canadian-experience-class).

Let's say 45 days, so from 7 July, you would be expecting your AOR around 21 August. So, if current trends continue, you would have your AOR shortly before your PGWP expires.

Of course, with these timelines you cannot afford to have your PR application returned, so be especially careful that it is complete and without errors.

Hi LPS,

Thank you so much for your valuable response and time to reply me asap. If i m not wrong did you mean to say that i shld apply after 21st august? I am currently on maternity leave and I am eligible till Dec 2014, but since my pgwp is expiring on august 28 th i can recieve my EI only till august but if i extend my work visa i m gud till december. I m really frustrated i have vaccines for my baby and i need my EI, I l just follow your instructions i just need your guidance for successful bowp.. Thank you in advance
