I received a medical request on August 30, 2023, even though I had completed my medical exam on May 14, 2023. I submitted a webform on September 1, and on September 6, IRCC confirmed they added my file, but my profile hasn't been updated yet. IRCC gave me one month to submit my medical, and today is September 18, causing me concern.

I did upfront medical after lodging and the clinic informed be to do the shit sputum test because they found some abnormalities on my xray but didn't disclose the findings. I'm totally fine and to phlegm, I got 2nd opinion from other hospitals and my xray is crystal clear as fuck. I haven't received the official medical request from IRCC, do you think I can redo the medical exam once IRCC release the request? Btw, my intake is on September fall and my sputum scheds are on August thus getting my intake deferred on the next available term which is May. This is stressing me out and anxiety kicks in every night. I need your input guys.

Got my exam at SLEC ermita.
I was wondering how your situation turned out?

I was originally told by immigration that I didn't need to do medical or even have a co-op for my nursing clinicals. The officer insisted the work conditions on my study permit covered me. I think he was mistaken about the temp policy change, my permit did not actually qualify for it which I didn't find out until I started school when my school told me I did need a co-op and a medical exam. The exam showed a small nodule which is almost certainly scarring from some pneumonia I had earlier this year. I've never had TB, I was working at home in the US for a few years before this program so haven't traveled to anywhere where it is active or been in any high-risk roles to receive it. And my TB readings from my school were clear! It's so, so frustrating and I'm supposed to start clinicals this term. Originally clinicals weren't going to even start until next year and they changed that at the last minute ugh

I've been so upset too, super anxious since I found out yesterday it's all I can think about. My study permit is approved, this is just the co op work permit so IRCC said I can start placement if it's pending but I'm just worried.....like if it's not TB but the old nodule from scarring is still on the x-ray at the follow up what then? I'm worried what the school will think. The panel physician wasn't concerned at all, my TB readings were fine, no one else cares about the chest x-ray like you said. Tiny nodules show up all the fucking time on these x-rays! Anyone who knows anything about x-rays know they're almost always nothing, and of anything is mostly likely old scarring. It's too late to defer anything. I'm beyond frustrated :(
