Got MBA acceptance with Spousal Sponsorship in progress

I am at the final stage of my spousal sponsorship process. My wife lives in Canada and is sponsoring me to join with her. I received instructions to go for my medical tests last month and the CIC has already received the same. Meanwhile, I have been offered acceptance for MBA and the class starts in January 2019. I would need some advise on how to progress. Should I inform the CIC? Would they expedite my application based on my MBA acceptance? What are the implications if I apply for a study permit while my spousal sponsorship application is still in progress?

No - IRCC will not expedite the spousal sponsorship process because you have been accepted to an MBA program.

Yes - you can apply for a study permit. No harm to the spousal sponsorship process.

Would also inform the school if you re trying to switch to domestic tuition. You were accepted as an international student and domestic and international students are accepted in separate piles.

Would I need to submit fresh Police Verification and Medical Test reports with the study permit application? My Medical test was done less than a month back and I sent my Police verification about 3-4 months ago.
