got mail from CIC to submit original passport

today i received a mail in which CIC has requested me to send my original passport .. although i have already submitted my passport after my medical exam.can anyone tell how long time it takes to finalize the application after receiving passport?

Which visa office is dealing with your application, and what is your application type.. i.e.(study etc..)

I have submitted my application to VFS visa application centre DHAKA and i hv applied for study permit ..

You will hopefully get your passport with visa stamped on it with in a week or so

asim i have applied for may intake and submitted my application on 29 dec 2013..... my university is windsor university canada.. my course is bachelor of business administration ...
