Got Letter of Acceptance from Concordia University

Hi all,

I have got letter of acceptance from concordia university. I would appreciate if guys on this forum help me out to take a step further.

- I am from Pakistan and need to pay pre-registration fees. I don't have any foreign bank account. Could anyone suggest a cheapest and reliable way of transferring the money?

- Do we need to go through medical before applying for a visa? or would it be requested by Visa Officer to go through medical examination?

- Estimated one year fees is CAD. 15,290. To apply for a visa, you need to show 10,000 for living expenses. That makes it CAD.25,290.

  • I have recently encashed my national saving certificate worth PKR. 2 million. I will be depositing that money into my father's account and get a letter from my father for sponsorship. With that sponsorship letter, I will also be attaching the bank statement of my father.
  • I also want to show another National Saving Certificate not encashed at the moment as proof of fund.

Now my question is that would not it create a suspicion that how did my father get 2million in his bank account all of a sudden because average transaction lies between 1 lac per month.

If not, the total amount of money encashed is 20 million. To meet the condition of "proof of fund", I need to have PKR. 23 millions (Convert CAD 25,290 to PKR). Can I show this remaining amount through saving certificate (30 million) that is not encashed at the moment. PS it can be encashable at any time. I am having doubts here that VO might ask me a question that why did I encashed the certificate of amount PKR 20 Million rather than PKR. 30 Million. what do you guys suggest?


I will be applying online. Do I have to scan the orignal copy and upload it OR get a copy of my education document and get it notarized?

Can anyone provide me sample letter of sponsorship and affidavit? I need to use it as a reference. [\b]

Go to the Money Exchange companies for that.

You can certainly done medial upfront (before applying for the Visa) , this will save some time in your visa processing.

Yes, that is it, but its better to show more than that, around 30 to 35,000 perhaps.

You just need to attach the original documents scanned copies

I have one more question. Is letter of sponsorship different from affidavit? In both the papers, we mention that my father is sponsoring for the studies. If we need to get both of them, then do I have to get notary stamp on letter as well?

An affidavit is essentially just a notarized letter. My parents are sponsoring me as well and I only attached a letter signed by both of them along with their banks statements in my application. I guess you can use either.

I applied on 2nd May for Sep 14 term in MISM. Got a letter of acceptance exactly after a month.
