Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone,

I have worked at a company since 2009 with a work permit and a LMO (both of them expire next year). I submitted my immigration applicarion this January, and in May, I received a letter from CIC Beijing office to request my passport, the landing fee, and the proof of finishing medical examination.
I followed their instruction, did the medical exam and mailded out all requested documents with my passport.
unfortunately, I was laid off just the clinic sent out the ME results to Ottawa.

I'm a little bit worried about the my situation, will it effect the final decision of my application?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your job loss, I have a question which would help us answer the question, are you in Canada or China as you mentioned you received the request from CIO Beijing, if you are in Canada on a job offer and LMO then why would Beijing ask for your Passport, should it not be Buffalo?

If it is the LMO based on what you had applied the PR then yes it may impact your application

I'm in Canada now. I have worked for a Canadian company since 2009. I mailed my application to CIO and I put "BEI JING" as the visa office.

For applicants with chinese passport / Hong Kong passport, can choose any one of those visa office: beijing, hong kong, or US. visa office.

I know it's a little bit risky, my biggest concern is will the visa officer know the fact I was laid off? I mean at the POINT he / she was checking with my application, I was working in Canada, but after I paid the fee for PR, did my medical examination, and mailed out my passport, I was laid off.

anybody had a same situation before?

Did your employer got a call and confirmed about your job status then? if yes then most likely there would not be a problem but if the Visa officer comes to know or the LMO dept. informs the CIC then there may be a problem.
