Got File Number from Call Center

A friend of mine , called in CIC still one week before his 6 week mark for an Outland Family Sponsorship.. still hasnt gotten his AOR... but the agent gave him his file number and told him that would be it.. he tried to link it nothing came back. what does that mean ? is that a good Sign?

This is not true. You can link anytime you want. Maybe he is enter something wrong. Is he the primary applicant

You can link without file number. You just need you uci, Dob, and or family name.

It's best to create an account for the principal applicant and use their info but you can use yours too.
