Got email to send today but medical expires in 10 days

I got email to send passport today but my medical expires in 10 days. I have read COPR is valid only till your medical expiry date, I don't know if I can get COPR and visa in next 10 day and be able to travel as well.
Is my assumption correct that I will only get visa validity till medical expiry or it would not matter ?

Your assumption is not entirely correct. Before the COPR is issued, or even the PPR is sent, IRCC does a final review. During the final review, IRCC will check whether your medicals are valid and will remain valid until you land in Canada. If your medicals are expiring, IRCC will send the medicals for reassessment where the RMO decides whether your medicals should be extended or a re-med should be asked.

If you have been sent a PPR, the your medicals would have been extended.

You need not worry about it.

I think you are the outland applicant I have come across who has got a passport request! Congrats! I think your medicals have been extended. Just check your application and confirm with IRCC.

I am in a same boat. Got email to submit passport and medical is expired already. Submitted in Oct end 2019. COR New Zealand. How long does it take to get passport back?

Do I need to do another medical or just assume that they have automatically been extended?

I was asked to send my passport but my medical expired one month earlier, I sent my passport but got back without a visa stamp on it on the 4th of May 2022, indicating medical expired. I am not asked for remedical till now, in this situation can I give upfront medical to speed up my process? Does any one suffer from the same situation?
