I NEED HELP>>>>>

Me and my Wife are doing the Family sponsorship from outside of Canada. We just completed our PRG and SSP police reports and sent them in. Now we just got an email back asking us for a Police report from BOLIVIA. Apparently it asked for it in the first email asking for our PRG and SSP police reports. It is there but it was very unclear. It said
2. Bolivia for you. Please visit the following website in order to obtain more information:
www .cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/central-south-amer/bolivia.asp
I looked at this website and it is saying ether go to Bolivia or send a letter asking for the reports. They gave us untill the 28th of February to do it and it is the 25th of February!!!!!! It says if we send a letter we need a set of fingerprints. Where can my wife obtain a set of fingerprints????? She had some done to obtain her PRG police report, are we able to get a copy of them?????
Please help we are Freaking out. It has already been a long process and now with this they might reject our application.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing you need to do is send them an email - or answer to the one you got - asking (politely) to have the deadline extended as you didn't see the request, and it is proving more difficult than anticipated ( or however you want to phrase it!) to get the Police record from Bolivia but you are working on it, etc etc. So make sure that they are aware that the police record will come, just not in time.

as for fingerprints, here is what it says:

Non-Resident Requests
Applicants may obtain police reports upon request at the addresses above. A cédula de identidad number and a set of fingerprints taken by a recognized police authority should be included with the application.

Go to your police office ( probably the same place as you got them done already), and get them done again, send it to Bolivia, and add a letter explaining the urgency - it might not speed up things, but you never know!

Good luck,
Sweden

If you're in Canada, head to a Police station.

If your wife is from Bolivia, have her call the Bolivian embassy in Mexico. They should be able to take her fingerprints and notarize them at the same time.

My wife is Mexican this is why it is not making any sense. In one of the forms we had to fill out we put that she visited Bolivia and Peru for 6 months but never was a resident or anything. she was just a tourist, so it doesn't make sense why they would need a Bolivian police report.

you need a police report for every country where you were present for more than 6 months. if you stated that she stayed in Bolivia and Peru for 6 months, then they will require a Police Record.

what is she did 3 months Bolivia and 3 months Peru. does that still count?
normally no - if you did less than 6 months you shouldn't have to provide a police check. However, the VO can of course request it. A friend of mine was requested a PC for a country where he spent only 5 months, and not 6.
You can try to write to your VO and ask for an extension, and also check with them if you really need to send it. Explain that she only spent 3 months in each, if you have stamps in the passport to prove that, or plane ticket etc, then include it.
Good luck,
Sweden

Thank for the help, I will do what I can and wait for the response from immigration. I hope this doesn't mean rejection of our application because it would hurt. WE are so close to it being over and it would not be fun to have to start it all over again. Thanks again for the help
