Hi,

I got married December 26, 2012 back in home country. After that the relation didn't work well since first day and i got divorced on 30th May 2013 back in my home country. I didn't update my spouse information anywhere in Canadian record since i was suspecting divorce from long time. In April 2013, when i submitted my TAX return information then i showed my marital status as Single. So eventually there is no record of my marriage in Canada and by paper i am still single in Canada.

Now in July 2013 i want to apply for experience class PR. My question is do i need to show that i am divorced in my application? If yes, then what are the papers i need to submit and what could be affect of application? And if get married again within 1 year then what could be probable problem? Do i have to wait any time to apply for next spouse? And i heard that this may long time to process , as i already got divorced and marrying again, is it true?

If i show divorced now in my PR then it may conflict the tax assesment info since i showed single there for 2012. Is there any impact of this information mismatch in my PR application?

Is it possible that i dont show this information since there is no record ? Is it ok to do so? What could be the consequence?

In my case what could be best solution? I just want to avoid the delay processing of my application and i also dont want to affect my next marraige application and processing time? And again, how much importance is given on marital status in PR application? I really need ur comments in my situation. Please suggest me.

Thanks
Narinda

Dear Brother ,,,,,,,its not a criminal state you have to hide and i suggest you it must be reveled in application.being a divorce you have to submitted following documents 1.Nikhanama (Marriage Certificate) 2. Divorce papers.....and if you hide it you may face trouble in backgrounds check so do not hide it........

Thanks for your reply. If i show divorced now in my PR then it may conflict the tax assesment info since i showed single there for 2012. Is there any impact of this information mismatch in my PR application?

what do u think?

Is your application already with CIO??????

Nope i will appy in July 2013 in CIC and as you said i will show my marital status as divorced. But i am saying that in april 2013 when i filed my tax for 2012 then i showed single even though i got married on dec 2012. So is there impact of this info mismatch in my PR application?

where as i know our tax return document do not have any concern with our application and they never ask for such a documents .......and if you show you as a divorced it must not have any impact on application
