@ OMM - This is really Ridiculous.
Thats the reality of the my own experience. ask anyone that if you dont have job then whats your situation in the USA, I am on H1B visa and one more thing is lots of people in some Government offices they dont know about this visa type even in some banks too. even I went for DMV my first license when I arrived the guy is unkown about the H1B visa, he told me first on this visa you can not get USA license, I asked him to ask someone, after his 45mins research in his office then he get clue and I get appeared for license test, even in my office lots of people dont like to work with us. this is the real picture in the USA, thats why I decided to move canada.

Really sad picture in US. Let hope we all get our visa and think beyond such incidents and enjoy quality life.

Dear Members

I am from Bangladesh and I got the Canada PR visa last month and planning to land end of july this year. But last afternoon I received the USA DV lottery 2011 1st letter. Now I am little bit confused regarding this issue.

Members pls give me some suggestion.

1. What should I do?
2. Can I maintain Canada and USA PR simultaneously?
3. Any other option/opinion?

Dear Members,

I have a same situation, I received the PR and have to land in CA with my spouse and baby within 2 months. But recently i got informed that i have got US DV second letter and have appointment for interview after approx 45 days. This leaves to a situation;

I continue with CA PR as social benefits eligibility / hospitality are good in CA but US is also a big opportunity and good climate, i dont want to miss this opportunity too,
If i schedule for interview in US embassy, Visa Officer will see my Immigrant Visa for Canada and may have second thoughts to provide Green Card Visa
If i schedule for interview in US embassy, does this effect in my CA visa later at POE Canada
If i got DV Visa of US too, can i go to CANADA and after few months land in US as they will be giving 6 months time - which will give my family some time to make choices on US or CA.

Appreciate your help & support.

Best Regards
AC

I would go to USA.
You get better job opportunities, more money, more VALUE for your money. Canada is expensive man. The US $ has more purchasing power.
Even now SALES are best in USA, bigger everything, bigger economy, huge country with big cities in every state. If i had a choice I'd be there.
Houses are cheaper, lifestyle is better.

Here they won't recognize ur education/experience, u'll be living hand-to-mouth in a tiny apartment for years struggling to find job in ur field bcaz of lack of canadian experience.

Thanks @ Canvis 2006!! Really appreciated your advise and will take that.

But is it possible to land in CA and stay there few months?? and then land US from there?? Will there be any problem in immigration of CA and late in US?

Regards,
Alpha
