Got approved what now?

Hi All

My partner and I just got our visa applications approved (really quick for London office, only took 3 1/2 weeks) ;D. I applied for a study permit (with work permit for an internship) and my common law partner applied for an open work permit for the duration of my studies.

We both received the same automated letter. I am confused about the following and would appreciate any shared experiences:

-How early can we enter Canada prior to the start of my studies? A validity date is mentioned however this is the date my studies complete by.

-Do we have to enter Canada together at the same time to obtain our visa or can I go earlier and my common law partner comes later?

1. Since you have the visa, you can enter Canada anytime before the start of the semester. But way too earlier might cause some questions but shouldn't be a big deal.
2. You two can travel together or individually. Doesn't matter as far as I know.

Hi allycatnip, congratulations on your approval. I hope to hear from you. My GF (common-law) partner & I will be applying for het study permit this May for Sept. 2015 intake, we already have her acceptance letter. May I ask if you did submit both applications for Study permit & open work permit at the same time & what documents you submitted? TIA
