Hi Everyone!
I am currently living in Montreal, and am planning to move to Ontario at some point. I've been actively applying for jobs in Toronto and Ottawa but I still didn't get any offers.
If I get my PR and still did not move to Ontario, and considering I'm not doing the Quebec PR program, is that going to cause a problem to IRCC? Genuinely interested to move I just don't have the timeframe.

Once you get PR, you can live and work wherever you want to.

The challenge you may run into is getting PR approved if you are working and living in Quebec. It's quite possible that IRCC is going to reach out to you at some point during the processing of your application to request that you demonstrate proof that you intend to reside outside of the province of Quebec. Best way to address this is to be living and working in another province by the time they contact you. If you're still living and working in Quebec at that time, then you'll need to present a convincing argument to convince them you don't plan to stay there.

Thanks! Do you know when they usually contact applicants? Is getting a lease in Toronto going to help? I have documents proving that I have been trying (rejection emails) just wonder if it's enough evidence.

I'm not sure when this usually comes up in processing. I'm sure others will comment.

Yes, getting a lease in Toronto could help as long as you move there and live there (and stop living at your current address in Quebec).
