Hi,
I got an ITA for FSW although I was eligible for both CEC and FSW.
On filling up the profile, I am now in the stage where we upload documents. This is where I see too many problems:

1. Although I said that my spouse is NOT accompanying me, it is asking for her Police Certificates (Multiple) (required) and Proof of Medical Exam (required).
2. It is also asking for my Employment records for all entries in the last 10 years and it is impossible to get it from previous companies that I worked for.

After getting the ITA, I set the funds to 0 and in my EE profile now, I am only eligible for CEC and not FSW.
Should I decline the ITA and wait for a CEC ITA? Will it still ask for both the items above? Please advise.

Thanks!

How much is your CRS score? If you are confident enough to get selected in next draws then you can reject it.

Again, if you didn't claim your points for any previous employment contracts then you don't need letters from them to submit. You can add LOE if you can't get from them.

Not 100% sure but would wait for more posts here

Thanks for the reply Vinesh.

My CRS score is 485. I did not gain any points for my spouse or previous employment. But, I am wondering if I get a CEC invite, will it still ask for these documents or is it the case for only FSW?
I mean I don't want to decline the FSW ITA, wait for a CEC ITA and still realize later that the document requirement is still the same for both. I hope I am explaining my question and situation clearly.

1. You cant get two ITA at the same time. If you want to go with FSW then go head..or else decline the invitation and wait for CEC ITA.

2. The doc requirements such as PCC, Work proof, Education docs, Med reports are same.... the main difference is ECA report which is required in FSW and not in CEC

decline FSW invitation my friend,

CEC guys are getting decisions in 2 to 3 months where as FSW applicants are getting in 5 to 6. So i would recommend go for CEC.

I hope some body have told me this when i got an ITA :(

I suggest decline the ita. You have decent score. Make funds zero after declining. You should get an ita in Cec.

This is mandatory regardless of whether you are applying through FSW and CEC - and regardless of whether your spouse is accompanying you or not. This isn't a FSW problem - this is your problem. You need this information to submit a complete application.

I would say you dont decline the ITA because you are not sure of when the next draw will be and what the cut off would be. In the meantime you can register for a new GCKey and create another profile without including your foreign work experience and change amount to $0 because if you do include foreign experience, you would be required to provide reference letters and once you qualify for FSW and CEC, the system automatically gives u FSW... If the new profile gives u ITA, all you have to do is decline the previous one you had and revoke your GCKey...Express Entry system is :p

That's correct

Before putting profile, I asked in this forum how to get selected for CEC then keeping funds zero was the most suggested answer.

I got CEC invite in last draw and I'm not even asked to attach bank statement.

My documents list is not long so I guess with CEC is not that complicated but again depends case by case

Whether correct or not, that "advice" won't make any difference to the fact that the OP's spouse will be required to provide the requested documents even as a non-accompanying dependent, whether the ITA is for FSW or Cec.

Thank you so much friends for the information.

So, if I mention only my Canadian experience in the profile and show 0 funds and no job offer (that's what I have mentioned now also), will it not be misrepresentation as far the work history is concerned?
Also, is the PCC for spouse absolutely mandatory or can I provide a letter of explanation that she is currently travelling and hasnt applied for a PCC yet?

Thanks again!

PCC for spouse is absolutely mandatory if you want the application to be approved. No exceptions. If she is refused for lacking PCC/medical - then you will be automatically refused as well.

Hi .. if your Canadian experience is good enough to earn you points for next ITA should be good enough to mention only canadian experience. But make sure that your work history is in sync with your activity history since you crossed 18 years of age.

PCC is mandatory for both you and dependents ( only exception for child). CIC gives time if there is delay in getting PCC mainly for US FBI clearance as it takes more than 3 months but can be applicable for other countries as well provided you show the receipt that PCC is applied. So if you think that PCC takes longer time you can provide a LOE with receipt that PCC is applied and will submit once received.

Guys will they ask to provide employers letters for all the work experience the spouse had too? I understand for the Canadian experience, but for the other jobs it is going to be a nightmare.

Thanks mssm. My canadian experience for 2 years is good enough to get the points required.
But, if I sync the work history and personal history, it is asking me for reference letters for all 10 years.
